Every performance is evaluated by a panel of three professional judges using our published scoring rubric.
Scores are broken down across four categories: Performance (45%), Technique (40%), Choreography (10%), and Presentation (5%).
Judge feedback videos are available after the competition so dancers and studios can see exactly how scores were determined.
Each competition weekend closes with a Final Dance Off on Sunday, celebrating the top performances of the weekend. Awards are given across all competitive categories, for every entry type and age division. Additional recognition is given for top scores in each discipline and scoring category.
-
Studios interested in partnering with Dance Champions for the 2027 season are asked to confirm their interest by June 30, 2026.
